About DRU

Andrew Grange, known professionally as DRU, is a Canadian-born artist of Jamaican heritage who has forged a groundbreaking career in R&B. First recognized as the lead singer of the award-winning group In Essence, DRU rose to fame with the group’s debut album, The Master Plan, which won a JUNO Award, MuchMusic Award, and SOCAN #1 Award in 2004.

As a solo artist, DRU’s 2008 debut album The One showcased hits like “Stay with Me (Always)” and “Seasons,” which climbed Canadian radio charts. His 2009 collaboration on Doman & Gooding’s hit “Runnin” earned a JUNO nomination for Dance Recording of the Year.

DRU continued his success with the 2012 album On The Brink, featuring Gold-certified singles “She Can Ride” and “Gettin’ It In,” as well as the JUNO-nominated “Love Collision.” Subsequent hits like “Deja Vu” and “Don’t Be Afraid” further cemented his reputation, with tours alongside artists like Sean Paul.
