Jennifer T’s inspiring journey from the medical field to becoming a multifaceted business mogul has been nothing short of extraordinary. A proud mother, entrepreneur, and visionary, she shares her insights, experiences, and advice with FEMI Magazine.
FEMI: Your journey from the medical field to becoming a business mogul is truly inspiring. What was the defining moment that made you take the leap into entrepreneurship, and how did you decide which industry to pursue first?
Jennifer T: To be honest, it was just seeing and knowing that I had so much more to offer—to myself and my son. As he got older, I realized how much I wanted to cherish every moment and memory with him. That was my push. As for the industry, cosmetics felt natural. Ever since I was a young girl, I made sure to always have my lip gloss! My lips had to be shining, no matter what—ha! It just felt right to start there.
FEMI: Balancing motherhood and entrepreneurship is no small feat. How do you manage to wear so many hats while ensuring that you remain present both as a mother and a visionary business leader?
Jennifer T: It’s definitely not easy, but I make sure my son comes first—always. After that, I get to everything else. If it means staying up late after putting him to bed, then so be it. I make it work. I never want him to feel like work is more important than he is, and that keeps me grounded.
FEMI: Your ventures span from a cosmetics line to artist management and now plans for a restaurant. What drives your passion for exploring such diverse industries, and how do you stay motivated to innovate across multiple spaces?
Jennifer T: Cosmetics have always been my passion, so that was an easy decision. Artist management happened more organically—my significant other is in that industry, and I just found myself helping him with his business. It wasn’t a dream of mine initially, but it became something I embraced. As for the restaurant, it’s still in the works. My family and I have always been great cooks, and seeing the way my son and his dad clean their plates after I cook is all the motivation I need. I want to share that with the world—bring people to my kitchen!
FEMI: Patience and persistence seem to be core values in your journey. Can you share an instance where these qualities helped you overcome a major challenge in your business or personal life?
Jennifer T: Motherhood itself is the biggest lesson in patience and persistence! Every day brings a new challenge, and you learn as you go. It’s taught me to adapt quickly and stay resilient. Parenting doesn’t give you a choice but to grow and overcome.
FEMI: What strategies do you use to connect with your audience and build meaningful relationships within your industry?
Jennifer T: Social media is huge, of course, but I think being authentically myself is what really connects me with people. When someone meets me in person, their perception often changes—in a good way. I believe being genuine is key.
FEMI: Your story is a testament to resilience and breaking boundaries. What advice would you give to aspiring entrepreneurs, especially women, who may feel overwhelmed by societal expectations or the fear of failure?
Jennifer T: Just keep going. No matter how many times you fall, get back up and try again—but do it smarter. Add something different to the recipe and approach it the right way. So many people look at social media and think they need to succeed overnight, but that’s not realistic. Patience is everything. Don’t let social media dictate your timeline for success. Run your own race.
Jennifer T’s journey is a powerful reminder that resilience, authenticity, and faith in your vision can lead to unimaginable success. As she continues to evolve and expand her brand, her advice resonates as a blueprint for others looking to step into their greatness.
