Chuks Collins Debuts Spring/Summer 2025 Collection “Nné” at Chelsea Factory [RECAP]

On September 10th, designer Chuks Collins debuted his highly anticipated Spring/Summer 2025 collection, Nné, at Chelsea Factory in New York. Top model Maria Borges, recognized as Forbes Africa Magazine’s Top Model of 2013, opened the show, setting the tone for a powerful collection that celebrates Nigerian heritage and honors the resilience of women. Nné, which translates to “Ode to Mama,” is a tribute to motherhood, featuring a stunning blend of traditional Nigerian textiles such as Aso-Oke, Adire, and Batik, fused with modern, contemporary designs.

The collection’s vibrant colors, intricate structure, and impeccable craftsmanship drew widespread admiration from attendees, who praised Collins as a well-diversified designer with pieces that cater to both everyday men and women. A particularly moving moment during the show was when one of the models carried her baby on the runway, powerfully embodying the collection’s theme of motherhood and resilience.

The evening also highlighted Collins’ philanthropic spirit, as he announced a partnership with a Lagos-based organization that supports survivors of domestic violence. Proceeds from the event will help fund training and employment opportunities for these survivors, showcasing Collins’ commitment to using fashion as a platform for social change.

Known for dressing high-profile stars such as Kerry Washington, The Jonas Brothers, Jimmy Fallon, Trevor Jackson, and Tamron Hall, Collins continues to build his legacy in both fashion and philanthropy.
