As an Artist and Producer, how would you say music has saved you?
Music has always been my safe space in my life. It’s kept me out of trouble, it’s made me feel like I can make others feel good, and it has always inspired me to go after all of my goals no matter what anyone thought about it.
In what ways have you made it your business to remain relevant and yet true to yourself in the industry?
I believe that authenticity will always keep you relevant. Once you begin doing gimmicks it will diminish your longevity. When I create, it is for the sole purpose of showcasing my thoughts, views, energy, and creativity with the world. Not always to please everyone.
What has this journey as an Artist over the years taught you about your strengths and weaknesses?
It’s taught me about patience, and that not everyone has your best interest when you thought they did. Understanding your business, and trusting the process are the most important pieces to the puzzle.
You are in the process of releasing new music on May 17th. Tell us about this upcoming project and why it’s special to you.
Yes! My 1st official single of 2024 entitled “Your Heart”. I’m excited for this one because not only is it a new R&B sound for me, but it’s the first official release on my new label Humble Sound Records in partnership with Sony Music, and One9 Music. The song outlines the experiences of what someone in entertainment can go through with someone they love in Hollywood.
So we know the single is titled, Your Heart, so we can’t help but ask who has your heart these days and are you currently single?
I am currently single. I’ve been dating here and there but no serious relationship. My life has been devoted to achieving certain goals that I have set for myself. That can be difficult to coincide with someone who can compliment me well. But soon the world will see someone alongside me. I know they are waiting.
Who have you been working with lately that we should keep our eyes open to?
There have been many artists but to name a few: Truth Hurts, Big Gipp, Khujo Goodie, Goodie Mob, Peggy Gou, Robin S, COUGA and many others. Truth Hurts is under the Humble Sound Records imprint.

What goes into the making of being James Worthy?
James Worthy is always forever evolving, but the right inspirations make the best come out of me. Experience is what made me the man I am today.
How do you feel about where you are right now in your life?
I feel blessed and excited for what’s next to come. Throughout the years I’ve put in so much work to where I am finally starting to see the payoff showing itself. Of course, there are always things to accomplish, but I’m pleased with my success thus far.
What do you bring to this industry that sets you apart from the masses?
I understand what it means to be a true creative. Including artistry, music production, songwriting, entertainment, label ownership, acting, entrepreneurship, and etc. There is nothing that I cannot do.
