Your Purpose Is Calling, Are You Prepared To Answer?- Intimate Conversation With Apostle Tarishan Winder

The world is changing and our women are walking in their purpose. Stepping up to the plate and embarking on not just their leadership journey, but their spiritual journey as well. Being able to lead someone on a spiritual journey is one powerful call to answer. Nonetheless a call that HAS to be answered in order to move forward, and create peace, love, harmony, and some sense of balance.

Recently. FEMI Magazine was able to sit down with Apostle Tarishan and discuss her journey and her purposeful teachings.

FEMI Magazine (MO Clark): First of all, what an honor it is to speak with you. Let’s get into you answering the call to ministry. What was that moment like for you? At what place were you in your life?

Apostle Tarishan Winder: During my early twenties, I was juggling marriage, motherhood to three children, career, and full-time studies, which was incredibly challenging. So, when I had my spiritual awakening and realized that God was calling me into ministry, it felt both divine and surreal. I was deeply humbled and grateful to be considered for such a sacred influential role.

FEMI: When we start walking in our faith, sometimes it’s like a baby learning how to walk. We have that teeter-totter phase where we struggle a bit. How did you really lean into your faith initially impact your life?

Apostle Tarishan Winder: Looking back, what astonishes me is how the more I embraced my faith, the more I seemed to face unexpected hardships as part of my journey. However, those challenging times heightened my prophetic intuition and ultimately propelled me into fulfilling my purpose.

FEMI: You shared a powerful message on social media, “Don’t Move From The Rock”. Explain what that really means to you.

Apostle Tarishan Winder: The rock symbolizes the steadfastness of my connection with Christ. It’s my sanctuary, where I feel safe and secure. Psalm 61:2 resonates deeply with me: “From the end of the earth, I will cry to You, when my heart is overwhelmed; lead me to the rock that is higher than I.”

FEMI: Let’s talk about your publication, “Adapting To A Prophetic Culture: Dwelling In Coram Deo”. Taking on the prophetic WORD is a serious job. More so than people know. What things do you discuss in this book?

Apostle Tarishan Winder: I aim to debunk the misconception within the spiritual community that hearing from God is exclusive to those who hold the office of a prophet. My focus is on equipping individuals with the tools necessary to cultivate a prophetic mindset. Central to this exploration is the concept of Coram Deo, which encapsulates living in God’s presence, honoring Him, and bringing glory and reverence to His name. These principles serve as the foundation for deepening biblical understanding, fostering a cohesive prayer life, and the development of preeminence authoritative power. Additionally, I delve into the importance of the five-fold ministry within the church and outline valuable key elements of a prophetic cohort. This book is part of a prophetic tool kit that includes a prophetic word search and a prayer journal.

FEMI: The Daughters of Deborah of Global Empowerment Ministries focuses on empowerment and serving the community. In what ways do you feel the Daughters of Deborah of Global Empowerment Ministries makes an input?

FEMI: We are all human and deal with things on a day-to-day basis. What scriptures do you feel carry one from day to day?

Apostle Tarishan Winder:

Romans 8:28 – And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to his purpose.

Isaiah 40:31 – But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

Matthew 11:28-30 – [28] Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.  [29] Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.  [30] For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

Psalms 23:6 – Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life.

FEMI: What are your hopes for your ministry?
