Bridal Designer Launches New Sneaker for Brides

Laury Bride Reception Trainers for women looking to switch out of their heels for a chic, vegan, comfortable wedding shoe

Designed with comfort as top priority, bridal designer Laurie Underwood of “Project Runway” Season 14 fame, has launched a chic sneaker for brides to slip into on their wedding day. The sneaker, affectionately called the Laury Bride Reception Trainer is the answer for women who want a pair of chic flats for their big day. The vegan-leather sneaker retails at $126.49 and is available at www.laurybride.com

“Many of my brides come out of their ceremony shoes at some point on their wedding day to just throw on flats or an unintentional sneaker to feel a sense of comfort after they say I do,” said Laurie Underwood, founder, and designer of Laury Bride, which is known for making customizable, made-to-order bridal gowns. “I wanted to create a sneaker that would allow them to feel both chic and comfortable. I was super intentional about the floral motif design and the material sourced for the final product.”

The sneaker comes in women’s sizes 5-11 and has a printed floral motif, breathable lining, soft insole, padded collar, rubber sole, and tongue. Its shoelaces have rose gold tips. All materials are ethically sourced and its packaging is made of 100% recycled materials.

Underwood’s career began with the launch of her women’s brand Wanda Grace, a ready-to-wear line. After her bold, structured designs took her far on the Bravo network’s “Project Runway,” she launched Laury Bride in 2017. Her custom bridal designs have landed her a bridal magazine cover featuring a wedding dress worn by best-selling author Luvvie Ajayi. Actress Keke Palmer wore one of Underwood’s designs that would become known as the popular Brunch dress. Underwood will launch a ready-to-wear bridal collection in the fall.
