Wide tooth comb<\/strong>. Always detangle a head full of matted knots with the right moisturizing conditioner – first with your fingers then very gently with a wide-tooth comb. Practice patience, and love on your tresses. I myself keep a wide tooth comb in the shower to keep handy especially for wash day or when I decide to do a co-wash when I need a burst of moisture through the week. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Microfiber towel.<\/strong> Soak up the excess water from your freshly washed tresses by patting it with a microfiber towel, never rubbing your curls, and ditch the regular towel. NEVER, I mean never use a regular cotton towel to dry your hair. It can cause breakage and frizz. Kiss that perfect wash n go goodbye. You can even use old t-shirts you have around the house to save some dollars. I have a whole drawer of old t-shirts that have been saved from the Goodwill container because they are now staples in my hair care routine. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Hair clips.<\/strong> <\/strong>Before applying a hydrating styling product, use sturdy hair clips to section your textured hair. Ensure product is spread evenly, and don\u2019t go overboard with the amount of product. These are cheap at your local beauty supply store and are a must have for every curlie out there. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Diffuser for blow dryer.<\/strong> Say it with us – air dry is always the best dry. However, you could also use a diffuser attachment on your blow dryer. Just make sure to set the dryer to low, and stay away from the scalp. I currently only use the air dry method because I am still in the tweeny weeny phase but do plan on purchasing a diffuser in the near future. Watching thousands of natural hair tutorials this a must have. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Spray bottle.<\/strong> Refresh your crown of curls with a refillable bottle that offers a continuous fine mist of water. You won\u2019t soak your entire head, and feel free to add a little bit of oil to glisten your gorgeous mane. These are a cheap investment but make a huge difference for your hair. Probably by a few just to keep and you can mix it up. I have one with oil but also use a little bit of leave in conditioner in another bottle. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
