Pronghorn Announces Investments in 19 Black-Owned Spirits Brands, Celebrating a Momentous First Anniversary<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event Honored Juneteenth with Atlanta\u2019s Most Influential Business and Cultural Disruptors with Music Performances by Queen Naija and more<\/em>!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ATLANTA \u2013 June. 20, 2022 \u2013 This week, Pronghorn – the purpose-driven company dedicated to expanding diversity within the spirits industry by investing in the next generation of Black leaders and entrepreneurs \u2013 kicked off its one-year anniversary celebration at Atlanta\u2019s St. Regis Hotel. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event brought together Black leaders, cultural disruptors, and small business owners from across the nation for a bespoke experience to celebrate Black entrepreneurship and the progress Pronghorn has made in its first year.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event, arriving in time for Juneteenth, kicked off with a curated cocktail hour offering guests a sampling of Pronghorn\u2019s vast portfolio of brands, including the company\u2019s recently debuted investments.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

To close out the cocktail hour ahead of the dinner procession, Pronghorn co-founders\u00a0Dia Simms, Dan Sanborn, Erin Harris,\u00a0<\/strong>and CEO\u00a0Jomaree Pinkard<\/strong>\u00a0welcomed the room with opening remarks. The executive group addressed Pronghorn\u2019s significant milestones established in its first year.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jomaree shared that to date, Pronghorn has invested in\u00a019\u00a0<\/strong>Black-owned spirit brands.<\/strong>\u00a0In addition to its investments, Pronghorn has established various initiatives to empower the next generation of Black executives, including the\u00a0Pronghorn HBCU Spirits Grant Initiative<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0HBCU Spirited Innovation Lab<\/strong>, its internship program,\u00a0Pronghorn Spirits Academy\u00a0<\/strong>in partnership with InRoads, and its mentorship program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Co-founder Dia Simms also nodded to the contextual significance of Pronghorn\u2019s achievements spotlighted on Juneteenth. She shared that while the holiday commemorates emancipation from slavery, freedom today is also defined by financial autonomy, where the next generation of Black entrepreneurs can \u201cwrite their own checks\u201d – something Pronghorn seeks to propel. As the company remains steadfast in its efforts to produce\u00a0$2.4 billion<\/strong>\u00a0in economic value for the Black community by 2032, its executives energized the room calling upon guests to seek out their own avenues of change-making progress.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Guests were treated to a seated dinner experience infusing Pronghorn\u2019s Black-owned spirit brands into custom dishes alongside unique cocktail pairings. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The evening\u2019s dinner culminated with a dazzling performance by platinum, award-winning R&B artist, Queen Najia where she sang her recently debuted single, \u201cWords of Affirmation,\u201d heralded release with Big Sean, \u201cHate Our Love\u201d and much more.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
