Child Sexual Abuse Survivor Hosts Conference to help others transform Pain into Purpose<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Baltimore Native overcomes Childhood Sexual Abuse by her father and <\/em>now is a beacon of light with a new book and yearly conference<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Baltimore, MD – <\/strong>\u00a0Latarsha Haughton was sexually abused as a kid and had a very traumatic childhood. Haughton is passionate about her mission to tear down mental and emotional strongholds and design life through a mindset shift from pain to self-care, self-love, and forgiveness. Haughton transforms that pain into purpose and creates a community for other survivors. “There were times in my life where I didn’t understand, like who were safe people, or how to set boundaries for people so that I could love myself,” Haughton explained.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now, she is using that voice to help others through the book she wrote called “Breaking The Silence.”\u00a0 Along with her book Houghton also put together a workbook called “Just As I Am, 12 Steps to Self-love Coaching Program” to assist with the tools laid out in her book.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Her childhood experiences caused her a lot of pain and broken relationships. “I felt worthless,” stated Hughton. “I didn’t feel like I amounted to anything. It wasn’t until I started going to therapy, that I began to understand my worth and learned that I do have a voice.” <\/p>\n\n\n\n

She is sharing genuine love with other women to help them heal. Haughton, who has since relocated to Tampa with her husband, is returning home to Baltimore to host her annual conference, \u201cRelease the baggage 2.0\u201d. <\/em>\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n

The conference will take place at the Sheraton Towson on April 22nd, 2023. The conference is designed to teach men and women how to break the cycle of their silence about their childhood trauma. Participants are encouraged to let go of unresolved emotional baggage from painful experiences in their past that may be holding them back. The faith-based conference is designed to help attendees heal and move forward to live a more fulfilled life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

About Latarsha Haughton:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Latarsha Haughton, founder of Breaking the Silence Healing the Pain, endured decades of trauma \u2013 including sexual and emotional abuse. With the help of God, prayer, and trauma-informed therapy after 30 years, she broke her silence. Today, Latarsha transforms that pain into purpose and creates a community for other survivors. Her entrepreneurship work spans a transformational life coaching practice: guiding women as they release wounds and embrace their power and serving as CEO of an assisted living community in Baltimore, We Care First Assisted Living, LLC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Latarsha sits on the board of directors at Women and Warriors on Route to Higher Heights Ministries (W.O.R.T.H.H.) and Journey to Joy Ministries, where she once received training in prayer ministry and abuse recovery. She holds an award for \u201cChoosing to Live” from The Standing Still Alliance, an organization focused on domestic violence advocacy and awareness. Latarsha remains committed to studying biblical principles and rooting her ministries in the compassionate love of Christ.
