TORONTO, April 27, 2021- <\/strong>We are pleased to announce our upcoming festival schedule. This year\u2019s line-up will once again be hosted virtually at https:\/\/caribbeantales-tv.com<\/strong><\/a> due to Covid-19 restrictions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cLast year we grieved with George Floyd\u2019s family and friends. We prayed, protested and spoke loudly about this unspeakable murder. We hope that 2021 has brought some peace for the Floyd family and encouragement for us all to keep standing up for justice. We at CaribbeanTales continue our mission of helping to end systemic racism by paving the road for diverse film and television producers to tell their stories to the widest audiences possible. And, we are committed to working with Black artists to develop and promote new content. As an organization, we will endeavour to provide platforms to exhibit these projects at our annual film festivals.  We are humbled and hopeful because of the private and public partners who work with us to carry out our mission,\u201d said Frances-Anne Solomon, Founder of the CaribbeanTales Media Group and CineFAM. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following is the line-up of upcoming festivals that will be available for streaming on our proprietary platform at   https:\/\/caribbeantales-tv.com<\/strong><\/a>: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The<\/strong> Windrush Caribbean Film Festival, <\/strong>www.windrushfilmfestival.com<\/strong><\/a> is produced by a nationwide community of business and creative arts organizations and leaders.<\/strong>  The goal is to educate audiences on the contributions of the Windrush generation and their impact.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Key Dates: Media Launch June 22nd<\/sup>, Opening Night – July 23, Closing Night – August 29th <\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The CaribbeanTales International Film Festival<\/strong> (CTFF), www.caribbeantales.org<\/strong><\/a>. Celebrating its sixteenth anniversary <\/strong>this year, CTFF<\/strong> continues its focus on promoting outstanding filmmakers who practice their craft across the Caribbean Diaspora including Canada, the Caribbean, Europe, the Americas, Africa, China, India and the Middle East.  Attendees can join our hosts, special guests and filmmakers for live screenings, panel discussions and talkbacks with the filmmakers.  CTFF 2021 <\/strong>programming includes 50% Caribbean-Canadian content. CTFF 2021<\/strong> is proudly supported by Telefilm Canada and The Government of Canada. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Key Dates: Media Launch – July 8th<\/sup>, Opening Night – September 8th<\/sup>, Closing Night – September 24th<\/sup><\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

CineFAM, <\/strong>www.cinefam.ca<\/strong><\/a>  <\/strong>is a Haitian Creole word meaning \u201cfilms by women.\u201d The festival\u2019smandate is to support bold, original stories by Women of Color Creators<\/strong> around the globe.  Annual initiatives include, the film festival, a short film challenge for emerging filmmakers and a partnership with the Durban Filmmart to develop South Africa\/Canada co-productions led by African women.  2021<\/strong> is an exciting year for CineFAM, <\/strong>with thelaunch of an interactive e-portal, showcasing & connecting 150+ Canadian Women of Color creators. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Key Dates: Media Launch – August 31, Opening Night – September 15, CineFAM Networking Mixer<\/strong> – October 23, Closing Night – October 24. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
