Meet Chanelle S. Reynolds<\/a> \u2013 the woman dominating a male lead industry. Chanelle is a Brand Strategist and NFL Executive for the Washington Football Team. And it doesn\u2019t stop here, she is also a speaker, author, and minister. With a background in business management, Chanelle\u2019s career in the sports industry began as an account executive in the NBA G League with Philadelphia 76ers Organization. As she began to learn the ins and outs of the sports industry, she then discovered her passion for ticket sales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chanelle continued to thrive in her career as she currently co-chairs the Washington Football Team\u2019s Black Engagement Network (B.E.N.). B.E.N was designed to assist Black employees through professional development and career management. She has earned several awards and accolades throughout her career, including being featured in Top Women in Business \u2013 Delaware Today Magazine in 2016 and 40 Under 40 \u2013 Delaware Business Times in 2017.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Standing strong in her faith, Chanelle also created Double Portion<\/a> with her twin sister. A faith-based brand dedicated to encouraging youth and young adults to build a relationship with God and grow stronger in their faith. More recently, Chanelle debuted her book \u201cThe Success Playbook\u201d, <\/em>a tell-all of her secrets to success and how she became successful in a male-dominated industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What has your journey looked like navigating a male dominant industry?<\/strong>

\u201cIt\u2019s been a journey where I\u2019ve had the opportunity to really learn about myself, learn more about the industry to maintain a competitive edge, and has pushed me to pursue mentors more frequently than the average person.\u201d

\u200bWhat are some lessons that you have learned about working in the sports industry?<\/strong>

\u201cWorking in the sports industry develops a special hustle in you. The industry can be very demanding with scheduling, time management, and workload. I learned how to navigate through obstacles and push myself to do the impossible.\u201d

Have you always wanted to pursue a career in the sports industry?<\/strong>

\u201cI\u2019ve always enjoyed sports. I remember attending live games on school trips, with my dad, church members, etc. Experiencing live sports games and being in that atmosphere developed a love for live-action sports. I enjoyed every aspect of sports including the behind-the-scenes, production, and fan experience.\u201d

What advice do you have for women entrepreneurs starting a business?<\/strong>

\u201cSome advice that I have for women entrepreneurs that are interested in starting a business would be to show up, be present, and do not shrink in uncomfortable situations. It is important to not get mentally trapped in imposter syndrome. I would also advise to be confident in who you are, knowing your gift is unique and you should use it in every way you can.\u201d

What chapter of \u201cThe Success Playbook\u201d is your favorite and why?<\/strong>

\u201cMy favorite chapter from \u201cThe Success Playbook\u201d is called, The Art of Taking L\u2019s. I love this chapter because it teaches individuals how to properly navigate through adversity and how to channel their negative experiences into something positive.\u201d

\u200bHow do you practice self-care and what does your self-care routine look like?<\/strong>

\u201cMy self-care routine consists of surrounding myself around positive energy, eating a balanced diet, and sticking to my workout routine. I really enjoy working out. Aside from the physical benefits, daily exercise is the ultimate stress reliever. During the NFL season, my work schedule can get super hectic and nothing feels better than clearing my mind at the gym. My daily routine consists of waking up early, spending time for prayer and devotion, and going to the gym.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
