As an executive producer, talent manager and creative strategist, Ortiz has spent years developing compelling stories and guiding personalities into spaces where their voices can resonate with global audiences. <\/p>\n\n\n

Her journey into media began with a leap of faith. Raised in Miami, Ortiz studied television, radio, and film at Syracuse University before moving to New York shortly after graduation to pursue an entertainment career.<\/p>\n\n\n

Like many young creatives, her early years were defined by hustle. Ortiz spent countless nights attending concerts, pop-up events and backstage activations, introducing herself to anyone who might open a door into the industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI would just show up wherever people in entertainment were gathering,\u201d she said. \u201cI was trying to get my foot in the room.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That persistence paid off.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Within a year of moving to New York, Ortiz connected with Angie Martinez<\/strong>, one of the most respected voices in hip-hop media. What began as an assistant role eventually evolved into a long-term creative partnership.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today, Ortiz serves as executive producer of the widely popular Angie Martinez IRL<\/a> podcast<\/strong>, where she helps shape conversations with influential cultural figures. Her role includes researching guests, building interview frameworks and helping craft the storytelling approach that has made the podcast resonate with millions of listeners.<\/p>\n\n\n

\u201cAngie is one of the most profound storytellers I\u2019ve ever met,\u201d Ortiz said. \u201cWatching how seriously she approaches interviews has taught me what it really takes to create meaningful conversations.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of the proudest moments in Ortiz\u2019s career came when Angie Martinez IRL<\/em><\/strong> received a nomination from the NAACP<\/strong> during the podcast\u2019s early years, a recognition she describes as deeply validating.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt was the first time I had creative control on a project of that scale,\u201d she said. \u201cTo be acknowledged at that level meant everything.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now Ortiz is stepping into a new chapter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alongside her best friend and creative partner, Brianna Dutton<\/strong>, she recently launched a production company dedicated to developing original content from concept to monetization. The venture focuses on nurturing ideas and building intellectual property, particularly projects that center women\u2019s stories across platforms such as podcasts, documentaries and digital series.

Their first project, <\/strong>Azif show<\/em><\/strong><\/a>,<\/strong> starring Azzy Milan<\/strong>, blends fashion commentary with pop culture storytelling and introduces a vibrant Gen Z voice into the digital media space.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For Ortiz, the long-term vision is clear: ownership.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After years of helping shape other people\u2019s platforms, she is now focused on building projects that she and her collaborators can fully develop and control.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI\u2019ve spent a lot of time helping others bring their ideas to life,\u201d she said. \u201cNow I want to build and own the stories we\u2019re creating.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ortiz also hopes to inspire young women hoping to break into entertainment. Her advice is simple: start now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhatever idea you have in your mind, start working on it today,\u201d she said. \u201cYou don\u2019t need the entire plan. Just take the next step.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is a philosophy that has guided her own career, one step at a time, from Miami to New York<\/strong>, from assistant to executive producer, and now to entrepreneur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
