November is National Entrepreneurship Month<\/strong> in the United States, a time dedicated to honoring the leaders who choose courage, creativity, and resilience as they build solutions that move communities forward. Among those shining in both service and innovation is Dr. Nekaiya Jacobs Pratt<\/a><\/strong>, affectionately known as Kay, a board-certified pediatric critical care physician, educator, and health equity advocate based in Chicago.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a physician at Advocate Children\u2019s Hospital, Dr. Jacobs Pratt is deeply committed to improving outcomes for critically ill children while championing compassionate, inclusive care. Her expertise in pediatric neuro-critical care and traumatic brain injury has helped shape lifesaving approaches to pediatric stroke response and recovery. Her impact reaches far beyond the hospital walls as she serves as a mentor, author, and entrepreneur, creating pathways that merge medicine, wellness, education, and representation. Through initiatives such as the Curly Hair Care Initiative and her physician-led practice, Tone & Texture Aesthetics and Wellness, she empowers both youth and adults to embrace identity, confidence, and well-being.<\/p>\n\n\n
