Hip Hop powerhouses\u00a0Snoop Dogg<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0T.I.\u00a0<\/strong>alongside R&B superstar\u00a0Monica\u00a0<\/strong>are set to present. Five-time\u00a0Grammy Award-winner and global icon\u00a0Lil Wayne\u00a0<\/strong>and Grammy Award-nominated\u00a0<\/strong>Rapper\u00a0Cordae<\/strong>\u00a0joins previously announced performers including\u00a02 Chainz, Big Sean, Burna Boy featuring Chris Martin, City Girls, Gucci Mane, Jhen\u00e8 Aiko, Lil Baby, Mulatto, Quavo, Tobe Nwigwe<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Ty Dolla $ign<\/strong>. Comedians, actors, hosts of the \u201c85 South Show\u201d podcast and stars of \u201cWild N\u2019 Out\u201d – comedy supergroup\u00a085 South (Karlous Miller, DC Young Fly and Chico Bean)<\/strong>\u00a0will co-host the annual show premiering\u00a0Tuesday, October 27, 2020<\/strong>, at\u00a09:00 PM ET\/PT.<\/strong>\u00a0Additionally, the show will simulcast on\u00a0BET Her<\/strong>,\u00a0VH1<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0MTV2.<\/strong>

During this time of social unrest and a global pandemic, the\u00a02020 BET \u201cHIP HOP AWARDS\u201d\u00a0<\/strong>launches a new initiative entitled \u201cHip Hop Cares,\u201d which highlights artists who are doing their part to give back to their communities and\u00a0the world at large. This year\u2019s spotlight goes to\u00a0G Herbo<\/strong>, for his dedication to the mental health crisis including his Swervin\u2019 Through The Stress Initiative and\u00a0Trae Tha Truth,<\/strong>\u00a0for his work with natural disaster relief and community activism related to the Black Lives Matter movement.\u00a0

Rapper, actor, producer, philanthropist and founder of the iconic hip hop label No Limit Records,\u00a0Master P<\/strong>\u00a0will be the recipient of the\u00a02020 \u201cI Am Hip Hop\u201d Award<\/strong>.

Previously announced nominees include\u00a0DaBaby\u00a0<\/strong>leading the pack with 12 nominations followed by\u00a0Roddy Ricch<\/strong>\u00a0with 11.\u00a0Megan Thee Stallion<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Drake<\/strong>\u00a0are tied for third highest nominations with 8 each. Other top nominees include\u00a0Future\u00a0<\/strong>with 6 nods,\u00a0Lil Baby<\/strong>\u00a0with 4 followed by\u00a0Beyonc\u00e9, DJ Khaled, Travis Scott<\/strong>and\u00a0Mustard\u00a0<\/strong>with 3 nominations each.\u00a0

HIP HOP HAS SOMETHING TO SAY…#VOTE\u2019

Following the 2020 BET Awards, which displayed solitary for black lives, and BET\u2019s recent\u00a0#ReclaimYourVote<\/a>\u00a0efforts, the\u00a02020 BET \u201cHIP HOP AWARDS\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0with the theme \u201cHip Hop has something to say\u201d –\u00a0will be anchored in motivating our community to use their voice at the polls and vote early.\u00a0

BET is launching its first-ever consumer products line timed to the Hip Hop Awards. Collaborations with New Orleans based artist BMike and outerwear apparel company Chalkline will headline the launch. These items and more will be available exclusively on BET\u2019s new ecommerce site\u00a0store.BET.com<\/a>\u00a0beginning on\u00a0October 26<\/strong>.\u00a0

Connie Orlando<\/strong>, EVP Specials, Music Programming & Music Strategy at BET will oversee the annual show, with\u00a0Jesse Collins, CEO<\/strong>\u00a0of Jesse Collins Entertainment, serving as Executive Producer of the\u00a02020 BET \u201cHIP HOP AWARDS\u201d\u00a0<\/strong>along with Jesse Collins Entertainment\u2019s\u00a0Jeannae Rouzan\u2013Clay<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Dionne Harmon<\/strong>.\u00a0\u201cBest International Flow\u201d is a category that will recognize artists from around the world, with nominees from France, South Africa, Kenya, UK, and for the first time ever, a nominee from Brazil. Internationally, the show will simulcast on BET Africa at 3:00 am CAT on October 28th, followed by international broadcasts in France on October 30th at 9:55 pm CEST, the UK on October 31st at 9:00 pm BST, and in South Korea on October 31st at 9:00 pm KST.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>
