Growing up with cerebral palsy was no easy feat for Walker. He faced mobility issues on his right side, requiring extensive physical therapy and strength training to regain basic motor skills. Yet, he viewed each challenge as an opportunity to grow. \u201cI had to be patient, understanding, and disciplined,\u201d Walker shares. \u201cIt was trial and error, but experiencing adversity firsthand taught me how to push forward.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This mindset of preparation and emotional control became the foundation for his journey, allowing him to conquer not only his physical limitations but also the mental toll that often accompanies such a disability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After retiring from professional basketball in the 2019-2020 season, Walker found his true passion during the pandemic: mental health performance coaching. \u201cBasketball was a gift, but mental health has always been my passion,\u201d he explains. Walker\u2019s unique experiences gave him invaluable insights into overcoming adversity, which he now uses to guide others through their challenges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a coach, Walker emphasizes patience, understanding, and discipline\u2014principles that shaped his own journey. He draws on his personal struggles and victories to help clients navigate obstacles in their lives and sports careers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
