New York, NY \u2013 September 29, 2020 \u2013 <\/strong>BET announces the nominees for the 15th annual \u201cHip Hop Awards,\u201d honoring the past year in hip hop music across 17 categories. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The BET Hip Hop Awards is set to premiere on Tuesday, October 27, 2020 at 9:00PM ET\/PT.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rising superstar, and winner of the 2019 Hip Hop Awards \u201cBest New Hip Hop Artist,\u201d DaBaby,<\/strong> leads this year\u2019s nominations with an impressive 12 nods. Following his win for \u201cBest Male Hip Hop Artist\u201d at the BET Awards, DaBaby<\/strong>\u2019s 12 nods includes \u2018Best Live Performer,\u2019 \u2018Lyricist of the Year,\u2019 \u2018Hip Hop Artist of the Year,\u2019 \u2018Impact Track\u2019 – Rockstar (BLM Remix) and two nominations in the \u2018Song of the Year,\u2019 \u2018Best Hip Hop Video,\u2019 and \u2018Best Collab\u2019 categories. Additionally DaBaby makes history, with two entries in the \u2018Hip Hop Album of the Year\u2019 category with \u201cBlame It On Baby,\u201d and \u201cKirk\u201d both receiving nominations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Roddy Ricch<\/strong>, another 2019 \u2018Best New Hip Hop Artist\u201d nominee, takes second place with an impressive 11 nods. Megan the Stallion<\/strong>, who opened the 2019 show, tied with global superstar Drake for third most nominations securing 8 nods each.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Other notable nominations include Future<\/strong>, who received 6 nominations. Lil Baby<\/strong> who received 4 nods. Beyonc\u00e9<\/strong>, DJ Khaled<\/strong>, Travis Scott<\/strong>, and Mustard<\/strong> each received three nominations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, \u2018Best New Hip Hop Artist\u2019 Award nominees include Flo Milli<\/strong>, Jack Harlow<\/strong>, Mulatto<\/strong>, NLE Choppa<\/strong>, Pop Smoke<\/strong>, and Rod Wave<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Connie Orlando<\/strong>, EVP Specials, Music Programming & Music Strategy at BET will oversee the annual show, with Jesse Collins<\/strong>, CEO of Jesse Collins Entertainment, serving as Executive Producer of the BET \u201cHip Hop Awards\u201d 2020 along with and Jeannae Rouzan\u2013Clay<\/strong>, Vice President of Specials, Jesse Collins Entertainment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cBest International Flow\u201d is a category that will recognize artists from around the world, with nominees from France, South Africa, Kenya, UK, and for the first time ever, a nominee from Brazil. Internationally, the show will simulcast on BET Africa at 3:00am CAT on October 28th, followed by international broadcasts in France on October 30th at 9:55pm CEST, the UK on October 31st at 9:00pm BST, and in South Korea on October 31st at 9:00pm KST.\u201d Additionally, the show will simulcast on BET Her<\/strong>, VH1<\/strong>, MTV2<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
