Her great uncle, Myzel Sowell, also played a crucial role in shaping her path. As a pioneering figure who paved the way for numerous judges and attorneys in Detroit, he left an indelible mark on the community and demonstrated the power of service and advocacy. His legacy reinforced her belief in the importance of giving back and supporting those in need.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With over 20 years of experience in the healthcare and beauty industries, Dr. Natasha recognized the need for greater representation, especially for women of color. Founding Care First Wellness Med Spa became her way of addressing that need\u2014not just by providing exceptional healthcare services but by creating a space where women, particularly women of color, feel empowered, represented, and valued.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She is deeply honored to have received the Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award, a recognition of her extensive community service, including efforts such as building food distribution sites to feed the homeless. For her, this award is more than just an accolade; it reflects a lifelong commitment to making a meaningful and lasting impact through service, advocacy, and community care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Natasha’s commitment to service extends far beyond her practice. Her recent mission trip to Africa is centered on delivering healthcare to underserved communities. Motivated by a deep sense of purpose, she has always felt called to help these communities, with Africa holding a special place in her heart. While past family obligations kept her from previous mission trips, she is now in a season where she can create these opportunities herself. The trip is driven by the knowledge that many preventable diseases cause deaths simply because people lack access to basic medical care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For Dr. Natasha, the mission is about more than immediate relief; it\u2019s about creating a lasting impact. She is determined to be the change she wants to see, building a movement rather than simply pointing out problems. She hopes to inspire others to take action, believing that through this mission, they can start making lasting changes in these communities. Access to healthcare and education is vital, and by providing resources, they can improve the lives of many who lack even the most basic necessities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Natasha also addresses these topics in her book, The Unbreakable Woman: Embracing Resilience in Every Season<\/a>, where she encourages individuals, particularly caregivers, to prioritize their mental health. She provides resources and aims to offer a source of hope to those who need it. By bridging the gap between stigma and support, she believes they can prevent tragedies and promote healing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Looking to reach an even broader audience, Dr. Natasha is launching a new podcast, *Unboxed and Fearless with Dr. Natasha*. The podcast will explore themes of health and empowerment, sharing stories and conversations designed to inspire listeners. “When I decided to lean on God and truly understand my own power, I blossomed, and so did the people around me,” she says. “Now, I want to help others grow as well.” Her hope is that listeners will find value in the stories shared, recognizing that everyone has a story\u2014whether it\u2019s overcoming trauma, dealing with mental health struggles, or finding their purpose. She wants people to know they can be multi-passionate and multi-talented and that they don\u2019t have to be confined by societal expectations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Community involvement is a cornerstone of Dr. Natasha\u2019s work. She has partnered with volunteers for her mission trip to Africa and other projects, believing that community is everything. She notes that when people see a collective effort toward a cause, it inspires them to get involved. Community involvement builds resilience, provides resources, and creates opportunities for growth and love. It\u2019s about lifting each other up and ensuring no one is left behind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
